About the Role
The Program Manager (PM) is an exciting, significant, and highly technical role within the Foundation. Successful candidate will be the pioneer PM in a legacy Foundation that is just starting. He/she will lead the development, fundraising and implementation of projects under the various programme areas of the Foundation.
He/she must bring energy, creativity and coordination skills to design and lead a variety of projects that help bring about empowerment of youths. He/she will provide high level technical and policy analysis to issues and engagement in the areas of youth social enterprise and technological innovation.

• We are looking for an exceptional individual who has demonstrable experience in project development, management and fundraising. Prospective applicant will understand the dynamics of the development sector, the critical role of stakeholders’ engagement across multiple levels from the grassroots right to national and international development partners.
• Successful applicant will showcase strong understanding of key concepts, issues and contemporary thinking in youth social enterprise; technological innovation; gender issues; education; and mentoring.
• Proven experience in building and managing relationships with government agencies, donor partners; educational institutions; media and civil society organizations.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong relationships and work across different departments while appreciating the diversity of cultures, work styles and diverse perspectives.
• Successful applicant will thrive on learning and development with others, enjoy facilitation and creating space to promote critical thinking and learning from practice, be confident at teamwork and managing workload and competing priorities.
• Proven experience in managing funds, and strong monitoring and evaluation skills.
Specific Job Description:
The successful candidate will report immediately to the Chairperson of the Board and lead in the areas of project development and management, fundraising, project implementation and evaluation in accordance with the following job descriptions:
• Lead the development of project proposals, fundraising and implementation of activities under the various programme areas.
• Identify, maintain and improve relationships with various project partners on different projects and ensure reporting obligations are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
• Document, communicate with and follow up with various organizations initiating and/or implementing legacy projects in the name of Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma.
• Monitor all aspects of project implementation of programs to ensure realization of program goals and outcomes; and coordinate effective monitoring and evaluation of projects including development of measurement indicators, tracking of results and impact.
• Work in close collaboration with the Chair of the Board to maintain communication with Board members and plan Board meetings.
• Work with the Finance & Admin Officer to prepare and manage budget for the various programs of the Foundation and ensure financial accountability among program staff.
• Ensure that the website of the Foundation is regularly updated with current information.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum of a Masters degree in social sciences, humanities, law or related fields from a reputable university.
• Certificates in project management is desirable
• Five to eight (5-8) years’ level of experience in the nonprofit sector
• Five (3-5) years’ experience in program manager level in a nonprofit/development organization.
• Experience working around youth, women, education and development sector programming is desirable.
• Membership of reputable professional bodies will be an asset
• Demonstrable team-oriented personality and leadership skills.
• Proven project development, fundraising, and project implementation skills.
