Legacy Programme

Goal

To honour, preserve, and amplify the legacy of Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma as a champion of justice, civic engagement, and institutional reform.

Key Components

A repository of the personal books, writings, and resources of Innocent Chukwuma, reflecting his intellectual journey. A membership library opened to the public especially young women and men, students, to enhance a reading culture.

This honours his enduring legacy by bringing together thought leaders, civil society leaders, the academia, leaders of industries, government officials and to discuss topical issues central to Innocent’s beliefs and values in promoting a just and equitable world.

His biography, titled Against All Odds, launched April 2025, tells the story of a man who against all odds – born during the Nigerian civil war in 1966, in Umuahia now capital of Abia State, enduring all hardships associated with growing up in a war-torn south east – still made it in life. Against All Odds is meant to inspire young people to be focussed, resilient and intentional; and not to allow their circumstances of birth define them. The biography is available for sale at ICCEF office; Roving Heights Bookshop; CLEEN Foundation offices; Yar Adua Centre Abuja and would soon be on

Preserving decades of Innocent’s contributions (interviews) to human rights, justice sector reform, democracy, good governance, elections, civil society and gender and youth development.
