The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, came alive on November 13th with a night of inspiration, celebration, and impactful stories during the Dinner & Awards Night of the 7th Annual Convening of the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF) and the West Africa Deal Summit 2024.
The event, held in partnership with Leap Africa’s Social Innovators Programme & Award (SIPA), showcased the enduring legacy of Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma through two remarkable awards instituted in his honour. Both the Innocent Chukwuma Social Impact Award by IIF and the Innocent Chukwuma Award for Youth & Gender Empowerment in South East Nigeria by Leap Africa highlight Innocent’s unwavering commitment to fostering social change and empowering communities.
This year marked the 3rd edition of these awards, instituted in 2022. The winners of the 2024 awards exemplify the values Innocent stood for:
– Centre for Legal Support & Inmates Rehabilitation (CELSIR) received the Innocent Chukwuma Social Impact Award by IIF for its outstanding work in supporting inmates and advancing justice reform.
– Natal Cares earned the Innocent Chukwuma Award for Youth & Gender Empowerment in South East Nigeria by Leap Africa, recognising its contributions to maternal and child health as well as youth and gender development.
We extend hearty congratulations to both organisations for their incredible achievements. Their dedication to social impact and community development keeps Innocent’s vision alive.
ICCEF looks forward to partner with these organisations and continue to build on Innocent’s legacy of impact and empowerment.
