Awareness walk With Assurance Centre

Breaking the Silence: Taking Steps Against Violence

On May 2, we marched in unity with Assurance Centre and Federal Medical Centre, Ebutte-Metta, alongside our partners from Project Alert on Violence Against Women. Together, we embarked on a meaningful walk through the streets of Ebutte-Metta.

Led by Assurance Centre, the third sexual assault centre established in Lagos State, situated within Federal Medical Centre, Ebutte-Metta, our walk aimed to shed light on the pressing issues of Domestic, Sexual, and Gender-Based Violence.

Our mission was to raise awareness for the centre and the available services it provides to survivors of violence. We distributed fliers and stickers bearing relevant information about the services provided by the Assurance Centre. empowering individuals to speak up and seek support.

It was an impactful and productive event, underscoring our collective commitment to creating a safer, more compassionate community for all.

Assurance Centre is one of the projects that Innocent supported the setting up, to ensure that the women’s rights are upheld, survivors of violence obtain justice and gender equality is promoted. ICCEF objective is to ensure that legacies such as the Assurance Centre sustained by providing the necessary support that is needed.

In partnership with Project Alert on Violence Against Women we Speak Out Today! Say No to SGBV!
